Hal Koerner

Hal Koerner is an elite ultramarathoner who lives and trains in Ashland, Oregon. He has won two cougars at the Western States 100 - finishing in first place in 2007 and 2009. In the 100 mile category, Hal has also finished 1st at the Bear (5 consecutive times) and Angeles Crest (2 times). He is also the first male to hold both the Western States and Angeles Crest titles in the same year. Hal has raced in over 100 ultramarathons with podium finishes in most every one. In addition, Hal also has a USATF 50-mile Trail Championship under his belt. He has a true love of sports and has been an athlete his entire life. He and his wife, Carly enjoy running with their dogs, Abby and Ember, who are indeed endurance pups. Hal shares his running passion with his community as owner of Rogue Valley Runners, a retail store. When he's not working or running, you might find Hal enjoying concerts or travelling across the world with his wife.

Anton Krupicka

Anton Krupicka is one of the youngest stars in ultrarunning and is certainly not your typical ultrarunner. Anton is known for his simplistic approach to running and his intense training schedule. He generally logs over 200 miles a week and many of these miles are without shoes. Although Anton developed his passion for running trails in the hills and dirt back roads of the Nebraska hills, he did not fully thrive until moving to the mountains of Colorado Springs after high school. Anton graduated from Colorado College in 2005 and shortly after began competing in ultras winning the Estes Park Marathon and High Mountain 50K with course records in 2006. He also went on to win the Leadville 100 in both 2006 and 2007 with a stellar performance in 2007 finishing with the second fastest time ever and 3 1/4 hours ahead of the nearest competitor.

Geoff Roes

Geoff Roes began running track and cross country in high school, he even ran for a year at Syracuse University. Originally from Cleveland New York, Geoff is an American Ultra Marathon Runner who broke onto the Ultra scene in 2006. Now residing in Douglas, Alaska Geoff is finding his niche at the top of the ultra marathon circuit with numerous wins and course records. He was named ultrarunner of the year in 2009 after he won and beat the very solid course recoreds at the Wasatch front 100, Hurt 100, Bear 100, and Mt. Masochist 50. When Geoff is not running, you can find him at at a natural foods store where he is the organic chef preparing the ready to eat meals, locals rave about.

Kilian Jornet

At only 23 years old, elite athlete Kilian has claimed some of the top victories of mountain running. Two time winner of the Ultra-trail du Mont-Blanc, Skyrunning 2010 World Champion, Kilian holds speed records on the Tahoe Rim Trail, Corsica GR20 and Mount Kilimanjaro. Kilian Jornet was raised on a mountainside in the Catalonian Pyrenees, where he developed a passion for being outside, playing in the snow, hiking through forests, climbing rocks and using running and skiing as a means of transportation. He began endurance sports in ski mountaineering, claiming his first world championship at age 17. After suffering a knee injury in the 2006 season, Killian feared he wouldn't be able to compete again at the elite running level. He lives and trains in Puigcerd, Spain.
